At Shift, Ian enables clients to increase market penetration, build global business development strategy, increase conversions at each stage of the marketing-sales cycle, and integrate new products and services. He manages and optimizes large marketing budgets and advises on sales, marketing, and operations. He also established Shift’s Start a Broker program, working with many clients to plan, launch, and grow forex and CFD brokerages.

Jack is a New-York based lawyer practicing in the areas of commodities and derivatives law. Drohan Lee, an investment law firm with offices in New York, Washington D.C. and Toronto, has advised a large portion of the global FX community for over 20 years, including many of the world’s largest currency funds, electronic brokerage platforms, banks, and intermediaries. Before entering legal practice, Jack had an 11-year institutional trading career, including senior dealer positions with First Chicago International and Deutsche Bank. His trading experience includes all major spot and forward currencies, options and derivatives. Mr. Drohan is a frequent speaker at industry and academic conferences, and has published articles on behavioral economics, finance, federal civil procedure, and commodities regulation. 

Jasper Chua, Head of FX Prime Brokerage for the Americas, Society Generale.

Jasper Chua is the Head of FX Prime Brokerage for the Americas at Societe Generale.  He was responsible for enhancing the FX Clearing capabilities of Newedge Group and established their full-service FX Prime Brokerage offering.  Since its merger, he's lead the initiative to establish Societe Generale's FX Prime Brokerage footprint in North America, partnering up with the newest FX technology and service providers; providing SG's FX Full-service Execution, Intermediation, Clearing and Financing capabilities to new and existing clients.   Prior to this role, he served as Head of FXPB Structuring and Client Integration at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.


David Emerick, Senior Director, FX Products, CME Europe

Dave Emerick serves as Senior Director, FX Products at CME Europe, CME Group's London-based derivatives exchange. He is responsible for building FX business. Emerick previously served in various roles in client development and sales at CME Group. Prior to joining CME Group, he most recently worked at Reuters in business development and sales, responsible for growing spot FX business on the Dealing 3000 platform. He began his career in banking at FX trading in 1989.

David Holcombe, Head of FX, NASDAQ

Nick Mortimer, Head of Prime Brokerage and Clearing, CFH Clearing Limited

Nick has over 27 years’ experience in Foreign Exchange working at some of the major institutions including Investment Banks, Institutional and Retail Brokers. In a diverse career he has covered a full spectrum of positions within Foreign Exchange including Trading, Product Management, Business Development, Liquidity Management, E-FX and Prime Brokerage. Nick joined CFH Clearing 3 years ago bringing this unique background to evolve the company from an Institutional Broker into a major Prime of Prime provider.

David Newns, Global Head, Currenex

David Newns is a Senior Managing Director at State Street,  the Global Head of Currenex,  and the Chief Executive Officer of Swapex. Prior to his promotion in 2014 to Global Head of Currenex David was COO of Trading and Clearing, State Street Global Markets. David has over fourteen years of experience in the eFX industry having joined Currenex in 2001 as a founding member of the Currenex’s London operation.

Paul Cottee, Product Manager - FX, NASDAQ

Paul Cottee is a Product Manager with Nasdaq, responsible for SMARTS Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Derivatives. His role at Nasdaq is to work with major global firms to develop surveillance platforms in these OTC asset classes. He began his career trading G10 FX for an Australian bank before working as a senior futures broker and fixed-income strategist for global banks. He also served as FX Market Specialist for Bloomberg LP in London. He became a compliance manager for a large UK buy-side firm before moving to FICC coverage for a major global bank in the Far East, where he used the SMARTS system. He has worked in Sydney, London, Singapore and now New York. He holds a BA in Politics from the University of Sydney and a GDL and LL.M from London Guildhall University.

Dino Kos, Head of Global Regulatory Affairs, CLS Group

Dino Kos joined CLS as Head of Regulatory Affairs in February 2013. He has more than 25 years of industry and regulatory experience, including over 20 years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (FRBNY) in a variety of regulatory and market capacities.During his time at the FRBNY, Dino rose to the position of Executive Vice President of the Markets Group, where he was responsible for open market operations, foreign exchange trading, treasury auctions, the discount window, and the correspondent banking services provided by the FRBNY to other central banks.


Timothy Levandoski, Vice President Business Development, Eurex

Timothy Levandoski is Vice President Sell-side Business Development at Eurex Exchange, where he is responsible for Membership and Product development.  Tim’s focus is on benchmark EURO STOXX 50® and DAX® Index Futures and most recently, Eurex’s new suite of FX offerings. His clients include some of the top low-latency proprietary trading firms in the USA. Tim specializes in ensuring that his members achieve optimum exchange connectivity solutions and is proactive in ensuring his customers establish robust exchange-specific disaster recovery plans. Tim got his start on the trading floor at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in the currency futures pits. He has held numerous roles in the industry including diverse sales and trading positions in the FX cash and derivatives markets for several global banking institutions, FCMs and proprietary trading firms. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science from Northern Illinois University.

Andrew Ralich, CEO, oneZero Financial

Andrew has extensive experience in both the software development and financial technology fields. Andrew was awarded a patent for work on a data migration utility for Goldman Sachs during his time at EMC (July 2005-Feb. 2008). Andrew founded reThink LLC (Nov. 2007-Feb. 2009), a software consulting firm targeted at financial applications and algorithmic trading systems. Through multiple successful projects for technology firms, managed funds and brokerages, Andrew has gained experience in advanced trading systems development, back-office system development, and enterprise risk management. Andrew has converged his programming expertise, options trading experience and ability to identify enterprise level solutions for brokerages, managers and traders in his role at oneZero Financial. 


Alan Schwarz, CEO, FXSpotSteam LLC

Phil Harris, Angel Investor, True Currency

Phil brings over 25 years of experience in the global financial industry.  He most recently works as the Head of FX Initiatives at Nasdaq and held the CEO position for the Americas division of 360 Trading Networks, as well as a member of Group Executive Board, before the company sold a majority stake to a growth private equity firm. Prior to 360T, he served as Senior Vice President for FXMarketSpace, a CME/Reuters joint venture where he played a leadership role in building its structure and sales teams. His other experience in the global financial industry includes positions as Director of FX products for CME Group, Senior Sales Manager for Lava Trading, Founding Partner for Plimsoll Capital LLC, an investment and FX trading firm and Senior Vice President of Business Development and Sales for GFI Group.

Brandon Mulvihill, Managing Director,  FXCM PRO

Global Head of FXCM’s Institutional Sales and Director to the Board of FXCM Ltd Mr. Mulvihill is based at corporate headquarters in New York. Under Mr. Mulvihill’ s direction FXCM’s Institutional Desk works with emerging market banks, funds, HFTs, and retail banks representing over 1Trillion in volumes per year. Prior to Institutional Sales, Mulvihill spent four years in London, managing FXCM’s EMEA sales. During his ten year tenure with FXCM, Mulvihill also launched FXCM’s Active Trader Division, managed Deutsche Bank’s dbFX, a WL product of FXCM, and managed FXCM’s regional office in San Francisco. Prior to FXCM Mulvihill worked at a boutique MT4 broker in San Francisco. In 2003 Mulvihill earned his BA in Economics from the University of California at Davis.

Doug Nelson, VC Investor, Devonshire Investors

Doug Nelson is with Devonshire Investors, the private investment arm of Fidelity Investments.  Doug joined Devonshire in 2012 and focuses on early-stage startups in the Financial Technology sector, including investments in Recurly, Tradier, FutureAdvisor, Tradeblock, peerTransfer, and Kensho. Prior to joining Devonshire, he was a Senior Business Analyst with the Fidelity Consulting Group, the internal strategy team of Fidelity Investments, and started his career in the technology division at CME Group, Inc.         Doug received a B.A. from Dartmouth College, where he graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.  

Jubin Pejman, CEO, FCM360

Prior to founding FCM360 to facilitate turn key low latency trading infrastructure for hedge funds, banks and brokerages, Pejman had spent over 15 years as an experienced investment industry professional. Pejman recently left the position of VP Americas for GFI Trayport which he held for nearly 4 years and was responsible for strategic growth and the overall operation of the Americas. He began his career on the finance desk at Oppenheimer & Co. managing a cash portfolio. Pejman then joined Long Term Capital Management (LTCM) in Greenwich Connecticut before leaving to manage American Express Financial Direct at Check Free Investment Services where he also started the Electronic Trading group focusing on Check Frees Straight Through Processing initiative.

Federico Ruiz, CEO, Arthika Trading Solutions

Federico Ruiz is the CEO of Arthika Trading Solutions, a 10-people, Spain based startup manufacturing fx trading platforms for algorithmic and high frequency traders. Prior to Arthika, Federico has been working for more than 25 years in R&D, technical and commercial leadership roles in high technology industries, including semiconductors, FPGAs, high performance chip design, high speed communications, complex software systems design, and IP production and trading. He holds a MsC in Telecommunication Engineering from UPM (Madrid, Spain).

Daniel Gallancy, CEO and Founding Member, SolidX Partners

Daniel is the CEO and a founding member of SolidX Partners Inc. He has ten years of investing and trading experience, having worked previously as a proprietary trader and as an investment professional in the long/short equity hedge fund industry where his areas of focus included semiconductors, semiconductor capital equipment, IT hardware, software and telecommunications. Daniel was an investment professional at BeaconLight Capital and, prior to that, at Alson Capital Partners. Daniel has worked on several bitcoin-related private investments and bitcoin-related projects, and speaks regularly at hedge funds and investment banks on the topic of bitcoin. Jaron Lukasiewicz, CEO, Coinsetter

Jaron Lukasiewicz is the CEO and Founder of Coinsetter, a New York City-based bitcoin exchange built to support professional traders, bitcoin companies and Wall Street institutions. Prior to Coinsetter, Jaron was the Co-Founder of Ticketometer, a social media-focused online ticketing platform. The majority of Jaron’s career has been spent in high finance roles. Jaron was an Associate at The CapStreet Group, a Houston-based private equity firm; an investment banker at J.P. Morgan and Madison Williams in their global investment banking groups; and began his career as an analyst at SPB Partners, a Las Vegas-based private equity firm.

Todd McDonald, Partner, R3 

Todd is a Partner at R3 and works on projects within the Exchange and Ventures verticals, with a focus on emerging markets, emerging technology and the application of distributed systems such as the blockchain on financial markets. Over the last two years Todd has led R3's exploration of the cryptocurrency space, meeting and establishing relationships with the largest venture-backed blockchain companies and recognized thought leaders in crypto-finance.

Dmitri Galinov, CEO, FastMatch

Dmitri Galinov is Chief Executive Officer at FastMatch. Mr. Galinov is an electronic trading veteran with over 17 years of experience. Dmitri joined FastMatch from Credit Suisse where he was Head of Crossfinder dark pool and helped Crossfinder to become the largest dark pool in the United States. Prior to Credit Suisse, Mr. Galinov was Director of Strategy of Direct Edge. He helped a company grow from a small player into one of the major US Equities destinations. Mr. Galinov received his MBA in Finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and B.B.A. in Finance from Baruch College.


Mark Palmer, SVP Integration and Event Processing, TIBCO 

Mark has over twenty years of experience in the fields of real-time event processing, integration, and in-memory database.  He has spoken at numerous industry events and has been featured  in the Wall Street Journal, Time Magazine, the Financial Times and CNBC. Under his leadership, StreamBase was honored by the World Economic Forum with one of the most prestigious awards in technology innovation – Technology Pioneers. In 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013, Institutional Investor named Mark as one of “The Top Executives and Innovators in Financial Technology.” In 2005 he won an InfoWorld Innovator award and was named to the InfoWorld Media Group’s Innovators Hall of Fame for his achievement in event processing. He is currently responsible for TIBCO's Fast Data Platform, an integrated real-time platform that features event processing, streaming analytics, live data mart, integration, BPM, MDM, and Business Solutions, Loyalty Labs, a leading customer loyalty platform, and the capital markets trading framework. 


Philip Simotas, Chief Operating Officer, ROW Asset Management

 Philip Simotas is best known as one of the principals of FX Concepts, where over a 20 year period spanning from 1993 to 2013, he built one of the premier investment management firms specializing in foreign currency and global fixed income management. At its peak in 2008, FX Concepts managed about $14 billion in assets. While as President of the firm, he oversaw all aspects of the company’s day to day operations, his primary areas of focus and expertise included portfolio and risk management, research and product development, as well as business development and marketing. After the firm’s closing in late 2013, Mr. Simotas joined Ikos, a European based hedge fund, as a portfolio manager for the firm’s currency strategies. In particular, he directly managed the transition and implementation of a series of intraday algorithmic trading strategies that Ikos acquired from FX Concepts. Mr. Simotas just recently joined ROW Asset Management, a burgeoning global macro manager founded by former FX Concepts colleagues Ryan O’Grady and Jeff Weiser.
